Hawaiian News, Hiloecho, Bullying, Digital Planet, Lucy Dog, Brandon, Monopoly, Over Time,
Its 21:46 I’m at work, with Julie B, Carol and Gail doing overtime, they’re here until 11:00 while a mugging here is on until mid-night. It’s time to look back over today… made it home for 08:35 which was pretty good as I didn’t get away until about 08:10. I left as the Outriders podcast started and reached home just as it ended approx 24 minute’s.
Once home I logged onto the net to take a look at the Hawaiian TV news that hiloecho had flagged up on Twitter. This featured him lobbying about school bullying and getting his daughter’s school to sign a pledge to deal with racial and sexual harassment. His daughter had been suffering the hands of bullies and the school had failed to take the action their promised to put a stop to it (insert vid). Afterward I sent him a private message just to confirm he was the Dad (dif name to the one he uses’s on Twitter) and to congratulate him on his and his wife’s achievement. We exchanged a few more messages before I went to bed. In bed I put on the latest Digital Planet podcast but kept falling asleep. I must have restarted it four times and each time I fell asleep. In the end I listened to it on the way to work.
Deb woke me at Five and advised that we had a lady visiting downstairs; it was Lucy, Brandon’s dog, who’d come to visit with him and who was madly playing 2with Monty who seemed to think that doggy Xmas had come.
Nat, Brandon and Hannah were downstairs playing Monopoly, yes monopoly on a board not a PC or X-Box…Proper monopoly…amazing. Deb had made pizza for tea but to be honest I only had a couple of slices. I’ve gone right off pizza as it is and this one was particular unpleasant and seemed to leave a nasty aftertaste. Whoops, we’re supposed to be going to Pizza Hut for Nat’s birthday next Friday, I’ll have the salad thank you!
Left for work at 18:15 and here I am now.

The Girl's Sleep Over, Pancakes, Nachos, Rugby Summer School, Bye Brandon.
I got home at about 08:30, just in time to bid Nat adieu as Deb was about to drop him off at Leicester Vipers for the first day of Rugby Summer School (for additional info see Nat’s Blog). I was left to deal with Hannah and Shantelle, who had stayed for a sleepover. They wanted to cook pancakes for breakfast and I was quickly dragooned into making (blueberry free) blue berry pancakes (US style pancakes, more scotch than crepes) as per the Shrek Cookbook. This did not go well; Hannah got out the scales and I began weighing and measuring. I didn’t realise that the scales were set on imperial measurements and so my 155 grams of flour was in fact 1.5oz of flour. Unfortunately the milk was correctly measured out in metric; the end result demonstrated, forcefully, why mixing these systems is always a no-no. Just like the Mars probe that was buggered when the US bits were built in imperial and the European bit were built in metric my pancakes were a total and unmitigated disaster. I might have spotted my error if I’d not been “surrounded” by two tweenies vying for the chance to sieve the flour and other ingredients. I should have seen the writing on the wall! After it became obvious that we weren’t having pancakes I prepared a plate of nachos covered these in cheese and then microwaved them. The girls seemed happy enough with this substitute. Afterward I was fully expecting them both to succumb to exhaustion and let me kip in peace but no such luck. Despite being up all night they were both chirpy and full of beans. Eventually I decided to go to bed and leave them to it. When I woke at four it was to discover that they were still going strong and had gone round to Shantelle’s house to play. By now Nat was also home and had informed us of the sad news that Brandon, tied of last season’s losing streak , had decided to leave the Vipers and, was in future, going to play for South Wigston instead. It’s a real shame that he’s leaving because he’s a great player and a lovely lad to boot.

Nat's Notes - Cycling Again, Dan the Twat, No Ties, Biking Brandon, Donna's Pool,
I cycled to school this morning; for the first time since I broke my arm. "Dan the twat", who is Henri's ONLY friend, was back at school after being suspended for racist remarks. As of today we don't have to were wear are our ties until the end of the year; that means that all my love bites are visible!!! The heat has melted the tarmac and in P.E.people were digging the place up with sticks, which is not good no no no not good at all. Later that day, but not much later as P.E is the last lesson of the day, I cycled home with Brandon. This is the first time we have cycled together as Brandon only just got his cycle pass but I've had one since the beginning of the year. Brandon U R a NOBE although, I suppose, in that case, some might call me a boff which is shot short for boffin. After school I went to Donna's how who has just put up her pool but soon after I got there we had to leave for dinner. Then my FUCKING dad Dad made me FUCKING write this FUCKING blog which is not no FUCKING fun at all. Now, I bid you ado as I have to get off this dam damned infernal machine because I've had a FUCKING nuff!!!
