Scouts Platinum Award Presentation at Bosworth battlefield Centre

View album
This was the night that Nathaniel and friends received their official Chief Scout's Platinum Award from the Lord Lieutenant of Leicestershire Jennifer, Lady Gretton JP  . this was presented to them at The Battle of Bosworth Visitor Centre which is in the middle of the Leicestershire countryside. Find this on a dark November night in an area of narrow winding unlit country roads was an adventure in and of itself. Thank the Lord for my Nokia 808 and it's GPS and on board maps because if I'd being using and Android or iPhone I'd have had to stream the mapping data and that would one be expensive and two problematic because of the sporadic cellular coverage in the county. In fact there was no way anyone could get on line when we were actually at the Visitor Centre. The presentation itself was held in the Tithe Barn Restaurant
but we congregate beforehand and afterwards ina an adjoining annex. A buffet was held there after the presentation ceremony whilst the kids were having their pictures taken with lady Gretton.  Lady Gretton was a tiny little thing who reminded me of my late Aunty Tess and who appeared half cut. However she was very pleasant and unfailingly polite as are her ilk.

Left to Right: Lady Gretton, Brandon, Charlotte, Nathaniel and Lewis.
